Kimberly's Kreations...or how I keep my sanity

I am a dabbler. I dabble in paint, I dabble in collage. I dabble in writing. I dabble in fabrics. I pretty much thrive on anything that involves creating something out of pieces. This is my way of sharing.

Name:
Location: Southern Ohio, United States

What about me? I am a thirty-something wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, employee...And currently a full-time incubator to my second child. I'm just trying to keep my head above water.

everyday matters

The artist Danny Gregory keeps a blog that I check out on a regular basis. He did an entry recently that just might inspire me to pick up my pencil and try drawing again. I really do want to become better at sketching, but I get so frustrated because it does not come natural to me. It is HARD!! Most things creative that I've attempted, I find that I can at least semi-accomplish without embarrassing myself. Two exceptions: drawing and playing guitar. And not that I fall on my face when I attempt these; I have just found that to succeed even in the least at either of these creative endeavors requires regular practice, and somehow I have not yet been disciplined enough to dedicate myself.

"True Selves" Journal Round Robin launches this week

I have had the honor of getting together with nine other women from the Clothpaperstudio Yahoo group to form an art journal round robin. The overall theme is Our True Selves, but each of us has chosen an individual theme for our journals. I've chosen "Window into my soul." We launched our journals this week. Hopefully in a year, I will have my journal home full of wonderful entries. I'll keep ya posted.

Yeah, I know, I suck. I have been creating, just not scanning a damn thing. So here's a few of my art journal entries.
